What do your facial expressions look like? How are you breathing? Really notice and observe what you look like in this state. Replace your stressed + overwhelmed state with this calm + relaxed version of yourself.

Step 4: Visualize How You Look When You're Feeling Depressed

Now, shift your concentration to the left side of your mind again, and visualize yourself feeling depressed. Notice the heaviness that you seem to carry when you're feeling depressed. What is your posture like? How are you breathing? Really take it all in and observe yourself in this gloomy state.

Step 5: Visualize How You Look When You're Feeling Joyful

Shift your concentration to the right side of your mind. Visualize yourself when you are feeling joyful. Imagine how your features look. How do you stand, and sit? How do you breathe? Take it all in. Replace your depressed self with this joyful version of yourself.
Continue visualizing yourself in negative states, and then replace those negative states with positive versions of yourself.

Do this meditation technique everyday for 1 week and stop negative thoughts in their tracks.
